Zones of change#
We think change is hard because we are stuck in a comfort zone. Se let’s break this down and change how we can from from being in our comfort zone to achieving lots of things in life.
Comfort Zone#
This is where we feel safe and in control. This is where we all love to be at. But if you have to change anything in your life you have to step out of this place.
The world is called Karm Bhumi and you can do any significant karm by being in your comfort zone for long.
Every great person that you’ve ever seen has step outside their comfort zone to achieve greatness.
Fear Zone#
This zone is the first and the hardest step. Stepping outside your comfort zone is never easy.
It requires adaptation, and adaption is often painful. Evolution has taught us to fearful of stepping outside our comfort zone for obvious reasons. Back then if things went wrong it often meant death. That same fear still follows us, even though the price of failures are nothing like before.
But this is also the place where the magic starts.
This is where you’re most likely to lack self-confidence because, you’ve never done “this” before.
There’s a high chance that you might find excuses to not change. This is also where most of us are perceptible to be affected by others’ opinions as this is outside your comfort zone. The level of uncertainty is high and self-confidence is low. It’s easier to push people down who have low self-confidence.
Learning Zone#
When you get a taste of fear zone and you start to adapt. You start to learn.
If you don’t quit and keep going, with time you’ll get used to the change. You start to gain self-confidence with repetition.
You start to see that failure is probably not as dangerous is you once thought.
This is also the place where you push yourself with an open mind and acquire new skills. By doing this, you extend your comfort zone considerably.
Growth Zone#
After going through this journey of challenges you find your purpose.
This is why people who’ve not pushed past their comfort zone often have dreams but not purpose. you have to go through a lot in life to find your purpose.
Life will always show you your purpose but, you have to keep you eyes open and accept it too.
This is also the place where you live your dreams, after going through all the challenges, you deserve some wins.
When you find your purpose you often set new goals in life or keep learning to conquer new objectives.
Once you start to adapt to this cycle of change from fear to growth. These lessons and adaptation often help you push yourself in other fields as well.
This is why some people have more confidence, because they’ve went through this journey thousands of time. So even when they are in fear zone they believe they can overcome it because they understand how things work. And this often leads to Pygmalion effect.
So start with small wins and keep pushing yourself, even if you get stuck keep trying..
